About
World Class Martial Arts offers karate for kids classes, self-defense, and martial arts, along with ATA Tigers, ATA Adults, and ATA Legacy programs. The program also offers workshops and seminars for all ages. Families can schedule a child’s first semi-private lesson and pick up a free uniform to begin martial arts.

World Class Martial Arts opened in 1997 under the leadership of founders Trish and Ken Church. The program includes children’s programs, adult programs, and children’s classes for ages 3–17, as well as workshops and seminars for all ages. The stated mission is a commitment to the communities in San Diego to create an enjoyable environment for students to improve their fitness while building confidence they can carry into their everyday lives.
One parent, Kenny M. from Encinitas, reports training with Master Church and Trish Church for 10 years and states that his daughters now train there, noting many high rank black belts and world and national champions of all ages at the school. Another parent, Melinda K. from San Diego, reports that her family has been attending for 5 years, that both parents and children participate, and that they have learned martial arts and self-defense in classes where many kids compete and families spend time together.
