About
World Class Martial Arts offers karate for kids classes, self-defense classes, and children's classes, along with adult programs, workshops, and seminars. The program includes ATA Tigers for ages 3–6, Juniors for ages 7–12, ATA Adults 18+, and the ATA Legacy program. Children's programs and classes run alongside adult programs so families can participate together.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Class options Monday–Friday afternoons and evenings, and Saturday mornings to early afternoon
World Class Martial Arts opened in 1997 and was founded by Trish and Ken Church. The program states a commitment to creating an enjoyable environment for students to improve their fitness while building confidence they can carry into their everyday lives, and describes its classes as confidence-building martial arts that also focus on self-defense. The school offers children's classes for ages 3–17 and workshops and seminars for all ages, and notes that anyone can begin martial arts at any age and fitness level.
The program describes its children's offerings as providing a strong foundation in character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline, and highlights karate for kids classes that emphasize positive mental attitude, high goal setting, and confidence. ATA adult programs are described as focusing on high-intensity fitness and real self-defense that applies in today's world. The school notes that martial arts training there emphasizes personal development and life skills such as confidence, discipline, and focus, and that these skills can affect many areas of students’ lives.
World Class Martial Arts states that it helps parents raise confident leaders and supports adults in reaching their full potential, and that there are few schools in the nation with as many high-rank black belts and world and national champions of all ages, from kids to adults. One parent testimonial describes training with Master Church and Trish Church for 10 years and now having their daughters train there, and recommends the school to others. Another family shares that their two children started first, then both parents joined, and that they value learning martial arts and self-defense together as a family, describing the instructors, staff, and other families as “first class” and recommending the school to friends.
