Manna's Martial Arts After School Program and Summer Sports Camps

Manna's Martial Arts After School Programs and Summer Sports Camps offers martial arts classes, an after school program, summer sports camps, sports days and weeks during the school year, arts and crafts projects, skill development activities, structured homework time, and chess. The program also offers a 3 Day Camp and a 1 Day Saturday camp that include martial arts training as part of the camp experience.

• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: School District week long breaks are available through the year, and the schedule is designed around the PUSD calendar; a 3 Day Camp for ages 8 and older (7 with approval) runs from Friday, October 2nd, 5 PM through Sunday, October 4th, 3 PM, and a 1 Day Saturday camp for ages 7 and up runs from 9 AM to 8 PM.

Manna's Martial Arts is a licensed CA School Age Daycare and is identified as Licensed CA School Age Daycare # 376700010, and Manna's School meets or exceeds County safety requirements. Manna's Martial Arts is also an Approved Vendor - Charter School. All teachers and instructors meet day care requirements and are DOJ Live Scanned.

The leadership team includes Janet K. Manna, Vice President and Senior Master Instructor and Tiny Tigers and Little Dragons Director; Brian D. Manna, President and Grandmaster Instructor; and Christopher A. Brandt, HQ Chief Instructor and Senior Master Instructor and Dragons and Outreach Director. JANET MANNA, DIRECTOR, AND STAFF are described as providing a child or children with the edge to be their best.

Over 10,000 students have been trained since 1985, and Manna's has been described as a pillar in the martial arts community for over four decades. TEMAS – The Educational Martial Arts System was established in 1990, and the program notes a 40th Annual Martial Arts Camp and a 40th year in-person karate camp.

The stated mission is to contribute to the expansion of the surrounding community and give back to the families and schools of that community. TEMAS – The Educational Martial Arts System is described as Educational, bringing all to a higher understanding of one's self and the community; Martial Arts, a study of the mind and body as one with knowledge necessary to avoid conflict and betterment of the whole person; and System, a way structured to assist in achieving stated goals. TEMAS includes three principles: Justice, Sincerity, and Responsibility.

Unique features listed include flexible hours of operations and daycare throughout the year, including non attendance weeks of school such as spring, summer, and winter breaks, and an alternative to Extended School Services (ESS) or other forms of alternative daycare within the school districts. The program offers free pickup in the supportive afterschool program, age specific classes, and summer activity camps that are described as unique and different each week. Interactive and on-demand classes will continue, and the 3 Day Camp is described as able to offer the student multiple months of training in just one weekend, with an optional Elite Warrior Fortress Scout at camp and transportation to and from camp available upon request or as available with limited space.
