Studio ArtHaus offers Creative Art Jr., where students ages 5-8 learn the basics of art and use watercolor, colored pencils, markers, and chalk pastel with instructors. It also offers Creative Art 1, Creative Art 2, Clay & Sculpting, Studio Art 1, Studio Art 2 & Advanced Open Studio, Intro to illustration, illustration & Design, Advanced illustration, Pottery Art Hand Building, Wheel Throwing, and Digital Art 1, with activities that include composition, basic art theory, character design, story-boarding, scene layout, slab and coil techniques, Procreate tools, and oven-bake clay projects.

Programs

• Creative Art Jr. — 5-8 yrs · Learn the basics of art; students draw with instructors and use watercolor, colored pencils, markers, and chalk pastel.
• Creative Art 1 — 8 yrs+ · Students explore watercolor, acrylics, and chalk pastels, and learn composition and basic art theory.

• Clay & Sculpting — 7 yrs+ · Students use oven-bake clay to create their own project to take home.
• Studio Art 1 — 12 yrs+ · Students learn more advanced art principles like shading, perspective, and depth, and explore watercolor, colored pencils, chalk pastel, pencil, and acrylic paint.
• Studio Art 2 & Advanced Open Studio — Assessment required; project-based intermediate level life drawing class that intermixes abstract and realism.
• Intro to illustration — 8 yrs+ · Explores character design, story-boarding, and scene layout found in cartoons, anime, and comics.
• illustration & Design — 10 yrs+ · Advanced classes where kids have more creative freedom and are taught individually on their own projects; students learn inking, dynamic poses, color theory, storytelling, and composition.
• Advanced illustration — Assessment required; advanced illustration masterclass for artists ready to refine their craft and elevate skills in watercolors, pencils, inking, and gouache.
• Pottery Art Hand Building — 8 yrs+ · Students learn slab, coil, and simple texture techniques to create decorative pieces.
• Wheel Throwing — 10 yrs+
• Digital Art 1 — 8 yrs+ · Students learn the fundamentals of illustrating and how to use Procreate tools.

Weekly classes have a flat monthly rate of $130 for 60-minute weekly classes or $195 for 90-minute weekly classes. There are no registration or cancellation fees for weekly classes. Camp drop-off begins at 8:50 AM and pick-up is at 3:00 PM, with a 10-minute grace period until 3:10 PM. Late pick-ups after 3:10 PM incur a charge of $1 per minute. Camp tuition is due upon registration. Written cancellation notices received more than 14 days before camp start are subject to a 10% cancellation fee; no refund if less than 14 days before camp. Enrollment is limited and first-come-first-served.
