About
Outpost Summer Camps offers daily activities in the park, preserve, and pool, with a focus on active outdoor play. Campers spend their time in a 100% outdoor and 100% unplugged program that includes daily activities in the park, the preserve, and the pool in small, consistent camp groups.
• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Day camp programs for children entering grades K–9 run in four separate two-week sessions from June through August, with camp days Monday through Friday from 8:45 to 3:15
Outpost Summer Camps offers programs for children entering grades K–5 in a Day Camp program and for children entering grades 6–9 in the Senior Outpost program. Each group includes 12 campers with 2–3 staff members for the entire session, with intentionally timed group activities and fun all-camp traditions. The camp also offers a Junior Counselor leadership program for high school students and provides a custom Outpost Summer Camps app for parents of enrolled campers on Apple and Android devices.
Outpost Summer Camps is a family-owned small business privately owned and operated by Stuart and Kelly Jones as part of Outpost Recreation and Education, Inc. Outpost was founded in 2002 and is celebrating its 24th summer in 2026. The camp operates between mid-June and August each summer and employs college students and child development professionals on its staff. Outpost Summer Camps offers ACA accredited summer day camp programs. Its philosophy, called “group-centered camping,” focuses on creating an environment in which each camper feels like they belong to the group and are a special, unique part of it, which in turn fosters confidence, creativity, social skills, and a positive sense of self and of community. One parent shared, “Having my daughter in your camp makes me feel better about having to be away from her all day in the summer months.”
