• Schedule: Silverman Preschool operates from 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. with two, three, and five day options; Tifereth Israel Gesher Transitional Kindergarten instructional hours are 8:30 a.m.–2:45 p.m., with before and after school care from 7:30–8:30 a.m. and 3:00–5:30 p.m.; hours may vary for holidays.
Silverman Preschool has two programs: an infant program for children 6 weeks to 2 years old with a minimum of 1 teacher for every 4 infants, and a preschool program for children 2 to 5 years old with a minimum of 1 teacher for every 12 preschoolers. For over 70 years, Silverman Preschool has nurtured relationships with parents, children, and the community. The program states a belief in a play-based curriculum that allows students to build on their curiosity and creativity in a safe and nurturing environment that promotes Judaic morals and values. Gesher means “bridge” in Hebrew, and the Tifereth Israel Gesher Transitional Kindergarten is described as a bridge into Kindergarten.
