Cuicacalli Escuela de Danza (MAPA@Brava Dance Program) offers traditional dance instruction and contemporary dance instruction as part of its curriculum. The program is one of four programs in the Mission Academy of Performing Arts at Brava (MAPA@Brava), which trains youth in theatrical production and performance.

Mission Academy of Performing Arts at Brava (MAPA@Brava) trains youth ages 13–18 in theatrical production and performance through four programs, including Cuicacalli Escuela de Danza. Brava! for Women in the Arts cultivates the artistic expression of women, people of color, youth, LGBTQIA+, and other underrepresented voices. Brava is committed to providing San Francisco’s youth with quality professional arts training through the Mission Academy of Performing Arts at Brava. Brava! for Women in the Arts celebrates nearly 40 years as a professional arts organization, and nearly 30 years of owning and operating Brava Theater Center. Brava’s Artists in Residence program supports the professional development and creative expression of directors, actors, dancers, musicians, visual artists, and designers, and these Artists in Residence mentor youth in Brava’s education programs. Brava’s current artistic programming includes traditional and contemporary music festivals, a variety of film festivals, contemporary and experimental theatrical productions, international comedy shows, lectures, and professional dance productions.
