The organization is led by Artistic Director Valérie Sainte-Agathe. It is a five-time GRAMMY Award-winning ensemble that performs at major venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. The chorus enriches Bay Area cultural life through innovative vocal performance and includes involvement with the greater community as part of its vision. The program is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and provides music education for girls and young women from all ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. A review from the San Francisco Chronicle notes that “you can throw just about anything at these young singers, and they’ll respond with panache...there is a lovely spirit of adventure, a sense that these performers are game for anything.”
