San Francisco Riptide (San Francisco Lacrosse Club, Inc.) teaches the sport of lacrosse through clinics, practices, and games. The program includes a Kindercrosse co-ed non-contact instructional clinic that uses soft balls and provides sticks, as well as U8, U10, U12, and U14 team activities with regular practices and weekend games.

• Schedule: Kindercrosse and U8 each include 8 practices starting in March; U8 also has 1 game most weekends starting late March. U10 and U12/U14 each have 2 practices a week starting in February and 1–2 games per weekend starting in March.

The San Francisco Lacrosse Club, Inc., also known as Riptide, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, public benefit corporation dedicated to promoting the sport of lacrosse throughout the city of San Francisco. Its mission states that it is committed to teaching the sport of lacrosse to all ages of boys and girls in the city, with the goal of instilling respect and love of the game and appreciation of the skills and teamwork needed to succeed on the field. The mission further states that coaches share a passion for the sport, love to teach and inspire players in developing their lacrosse skills, and are dedicated to creating an atmosphere of learning, fun, and mutual support of all players.
The Riptide (San Francisco Lacrosse Club) was formed from the merger of two established non-profit programs, the Outlaws (San Francisco City Lacrosse) and the Quakes (San Francisco Youth Lacrosse Club), whose boards met in 2010 and decided to combine into a single program. These organizations had been serving the San Francisco youth lacrosse community since 2003, and on October 1, 2010, they became the San Francisco Lacrosse Club, Inc. The organization states that it has served as San Francisco's only community-based, non-profit youth lacrosse program.
The San Francisco Lacrosse Club is run by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, with Steve Dini serving as current Chair of the Board and Marc Chaput as current Treasurer. San Francisco Lacrosse states that it believes every child who is interested should have the opportunity to play lacrosse and offers scholarship assistance if registration or equipment costs present a hardship. The organization runs a Grow the Game campaign to help remove barriers to entry created by equipment and other costs.
