JCYC Youth Programs has been enriching the lives of youth from diverse communities in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1970. The programs serve over 7,000 children and youth in San Francisco and Daly City. JCYC Youth Programs provides affordable, high quality childcare for over 300 children a year and puts over 3,000 youth a year to work through workforce programs. The programs also involve over 600 youth in volunteering and educating their communities and help over 3,100 students a year prepare and plan for post-secondary education.

Parents and youth have shared their experiences with JCYC Youth Programs. One participant in the Nikkei Community Internship (NCI) in 2025 said, “Being an NCI intern opened doors for me to grow professionally, culturally, and socially!” A 2024 Upward Bound participant said, “Upward Bound has taught me the skills that are key to surviving and thriving in college.” A 2026 SF YouthWorks participant said, “This program helped me build the path to be the person I am today.”
