The Great Opportunities Learn to Swim Program offers swimming lessons and swim classes that range from beginning to advanced and are offered free of charge. Participants also take part in a math practice exercise, the Beach Awareness Program, the GO2 Bike Program, and an Environmental Program that includes trash removal supported by the El Plastiki Crew.
• Ages: 1–17 years old
• Schedule: 30-minute swim lessons offered in half-hour increments over a two-hour period, with classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8–10am during June, July, and August; the Beach Awareness Program runs for 4 weeks in the summer

All GO Learn to Swim Instructors are certified in American Heart Association CPR and First-Aid, and instruction is predominantly given by GO LMT (Leader Mentor Teachers) who are supervised by GO adult volunteers. Great Opportunities states that aquatic safety, environmental education, and recreation are core components in its 4-week long Beach Awareness summer program.
