Lazy W Ranch Camp

Lazy W Ranch Camp operates camping programs that include events for children, youth, and adults. The camp runs as a year-round camp and retreat center and offers a residential summer camp as well as specialized weekend retreats. It also hosts groups from across Southern California and beyond, with policies that strictly prohibit the use or possession of illegal drugs or alcohol and limit any smoking due to fire danger.

Since the summer of 1954, Lazy W Ranch has been creating experiences for children and youth. The camp’s mission states that it is dedicated to creating quality environments of Christian hospitality and learning, nurturing people to grow in wisdom and healthy self-esteem, develop lifestyles of loving interdependence with each other and all of creation, and affirm and expand their faith in God and their service as Christian disciples within God’s world. Lazy W Ranch serves religiously affiliated groups, schools and educational bodies, families, service organizations, and other non-profit groups that enrich life in the world. Lazy W Ranch is an ACA-accredited camp and ministry privately owned and operated by the California-Pacific Conference of the United Methodist Church, and its American Camp Association accreditation involves an annual review of up to 300 standards focused on its operation and program. The camp notes that it is not wheelchair accessible.
