Dana Smith Show Team, Inc. offers horse training, horse riding lessons, horse riding camps, and a hunter/jumper rider program. The program includes a structured hunter/jumper rider program along with other riding and training options for aspiring equestrians.
Dana Smith founded Dana Smith Show Team, Inc. in 1983 and has served as founder, owner, and trainer from 1983 to the present. Dana is a Certified Instructor with the United States Hunter Jumper Association for 17 years and has been awarded “Trainer of the Year” 16 years. Dana is celebrating 41 years of training aspiring equestrians. Dana also carries a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License and was trained and is a member of the Large Animal Rescue Team (LART). Greg teaches the American Forward Riding system, is a loyal follower of longtime USET jumping chef d’equipe George Morris, and has completed the United States Hunter Jumper Association Trainer Certificate Program. The leadership team includes Dana Smith, Greg Solente, Katie Gieser, Nicole Kang, Jamie Sailor, and Pedro, who is referred to as “The real boss ‘PEDRO’.” The program’s stated mission is, “Allow Us to Make your Equestian Dreams come True.”
Dana Smith Show Team, Inc. is involved with the Orange County Horse Show Association (OCHSA) Board of Directors, the OCHSA Championship Horse Show Committee, the Interscholastic Equestrain League (IEL) Board of Directors, and the San Juan Capistrano Equestrian Coalition (SJCEC) Board of Directors, and serves on committee yearly fund raisers. The program offers team logo wear and a team show schedule. It imports multiple European warmbloods each year through Jett Martin Sport Horses, provides equine shipping up and down California, and is on call for veterinarian emergency hospital shipping and transporting European imports.
