Farm School OC/SD includes teacher-led circle time with farm-themed lessons, stories, and music, along with hands-on learning tables featuring sensory activities and nature-inspired creative projects. Children take part in play-based exploration, farm activities, daily animal care such as brushing, feeding, and caring for the animals, and learning about daily farm routines. The program also offers hands-on science experiments, in-depth discussions on animal behavior and habitats, seasonal crafts, nature-inspired arts and crafts, gardening, exploring the outdoors through games and discovery, music, and preparing and tasting farm-fresh foods, including culinary explorations and recipes using fresh, locally sourced seasonal produce.

• Schedule: Caregiver & Me classes are offered Mondays at 9:30am and 11am; Farm To School Morning Programs for ages 3 1/2 to 7 and 8 to 12 run in daytime blocks during the week, with sessions offered September through May for the Farm To School Morning Programs
Ms. Brooke is the founder of Farm School OC/SD and has spent more than 17 years teaching children through music, art, and hands-on learning programs. The leadership team also includes Ms. Lara as Head Teacher and Lead Teacher, and Jennifer as Operations Manager. Ms. Lara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Biology and Conservation from the University of Delaware. Farm School OC Enrichment Programs are described as award-winning, and the programs have been enjoyed by hundreds of local families. The program accepts charter school funds and offers seasonal camps and holiday events on the farm, with camps for ages 4 to 8 that require campers to be fully potty trained; the Farm To School Morning Program for ages 3 1/2 to 7 also requires children to be fully potty trained. The stated goal of Farm School OC is to nurture empathy and compassion for animals and to model an appreciation for farming, sustainability, buying local, eating healthy, and making the world a better place.
