Los Rios Rock School

Los Rios Rock School offers instruction in drums and percussion, guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, voice, piano and keyboards, songwriting, and recording, engineering, and producing. The program also includes orchestra and band, weekly 1-hour private lessons, weekly 30-minute music lessons, the Bi-Weekly Jam 99 Club group song workshop, quarterly live concerts, access to a variety of music clubs, and award-winning summer camps.

Los Rios Rock School has been helping kids thrive since 2009. The school operates on a closed campus with access by private tour and offers a world-class campus with a super-cool, new and improved studio. Students can take part in the Bi-Weekly Jam 99 Club group song workshop, where they learn to play a song per week with a band on Monday nights and Saturday mornings, and they can audition for quarterly live concert performances where they help create the experience by selecting from more than 100 songs. Some students choose not to do live performances, and some students focus on audio engineering and production. The program also offers an adult program with limited spots and month-to-month enrollment with no contracts or long-term commitments and a 14 day cancellation policy. Students have real world live performance experience in sophisticated venues such as The House of Blues and The Coach House.

Teachers at Los Rios Rock School have professional live performance and songwriting experience and are described as enthusiastic, encouraging teachers who are each talented, performing musicians, often with advanced degrees in a musical field. Owner Tyler is described as a gifted and knowledgeable musician, and the school is described as being operated by caring professionals who are attentive to the needs of their students and concerns of their parents. The leadership team includes Owner Tyler and Rob Max, Executive Director of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and The Musicians Cancer Fund @SweetRelief. The school has hosted a charity benefit with Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and The Musicians Cancer Fund @SweetRelief.

One parent reports that an 8-year-old child with Autism attends, loves to sing, and is learning keyboard, piano, and drums.
