PEL Math & English Programs offers an English core program, a Math Program, an English Language Arts (ELA) Program, and Private Tutoring & Homework Help. Students can take part in after-school homework help, math, English, and private tutoring sessions. A typical day at the PEL Learning Center includes checking in with a QR code, exchanging homework, correcting errors in class, doing classwork in class, receiving guidance and help, and checking out with the Instructor/Coach and scanning a QR code.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Class options are available Monday–Friday in the late afternoon and early evening, with additional Saturday morning hours; students visit the center twice a week for about 30 to 45 minutes for each subject enrolled.
• Price: Assessment testing is always free. Monthly tuitions for the Math and English programs are $160 and up per month per subject. After School Homework Help is $200 and up per month. Private tutoring is $60 and up per hour. Registration is a one-time $50 to $100 per student.

Mr. Lawrence Kyi has been president at PEL San Leandro and PEL Alameda Learning Centers since 2016 and has spent over 20 years in the semiconductor and medical device industries, including six years at Kumon as a coach, and he holds degrees in computer system engineering and engineering management. Mrs. Kiwi Kyi has been PEL center Director/Coach since 2016, holds a master’s in business administration, is actively pursuing a doctorate degree, has over 23 years of combined experience as a Senior Test Engineer in Software Quality Assurance and as a Professor Assistant, is certified in Talent, Competency & Succession Management from Penn State University, and holds certifications in Business Analysis, Project Management, Salesforce, and IBM SPSS Statistics, and she is fluent in English and Vietnamese.
