PEL Learning Center - San Leandro offers an English core program, math, after-school homework help, and private tutoring. The program uses Singapore-Style Math and the PEL Method, which includes Concept Introduction, Scaffolding & Fading, Coaching, and Articulation. Mr. Lawrence Kyi has served as president at PEL San Leandro and PEL Alameda Learning Centers since 2016 and has over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor and medical device industries, including six years at Kumon as a coach, with degrees in computer system engineering and engineering management. Mrs. Kiwi Kyi has been a PEL center Director/Coach since 2016, holds a master’s in business administration, is pursuing a doctorate degree, has over 23 years of combined experience as a Senior Test Engineer in Software Quality Assurance and as a Professor Assistant, is certified in Talent, Competency & Succession Management from Penn State University, holds certifications in Business Analysis, Project Management, Salesforce, and IBM SPSS Statistics, and is fluent in English and Vietnamese.
