SharePath Academy offers tailored tutoring in math, Spanish language arts, and language arts in both English and Spanish at all levels, including Kinder–5th Grade Foundational Skills, Middle-School Common Core, and High School up to AP Calculus. The program includes Awesome After School Care, Mindfulness & Movement, Spanish Specialty, Spanish After-School Courses for Beginners, Dual-Immersion Elementary & Middle School, High School/AP & SAT test support, and Homeschool Curated Classes for All Ages. Students can also take part in Art, Poetry, and Improv Theater, Student-Led Book Clubs, Beginning Spanish, History of Mesoamerica, Introduction to Sustainable Architecture, and outdoor activities in the SharePath after school program, along with learning conflict resolution.

SharePath Academy’s owner and instructor, Erin McCoy, is a credentialed bilingual instructor with 20 years of teaching experience in Spanish and English, has studied Montessori, Waldorf, and TRIBES philosophies, is a Certified Mindfulness Instructor, and has been trained in Making Math Real modalities. Instructor Angelica Webster received a Bachelor’s Degree in English from UC Berkeley, a Classroom Educator Certification (OGCE – Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator level) with the International Dyslexia Association, and a Design & Multimedia Certification from CSM. Katherine has a degree in writing pedagogy from UCSD. The program uses Orton-Gillingham Dyslexia Instructor Techniques for Engaging the Whole Child, multi-sensory methods, and different learning styles, and offers schoolwide programs for Kinder–8th, small group classes for teens and adults, teacher training, and accredited A-G Spanish 1 & 2. SharePath Academy’s core values shape its three main objectives: to instill the joy of learning, to create safe spaces for kids to be kids, and to support families on the journey of educating their children’s hearts, bodies, and minds. The program includes student job roles as future leaders, turns lessons into multisensory experiences, offers student-led book clubs, sends out The SharePath Buzz monthly newsletter, and organizes stimulating community art projects. Community building is at the forefront of Erin McCoy’s teaching philosophy, with a focus on youth social justice and empowerment, long-range policies related to open space, housing, accessibility, and historic and cultural preservation in her background, and membership in the Climate Reality Project. SharePath Academy is an Ocean Grove Charter School Vendor, offers accredited A-G Spanish 1 & 2, and lists First Mindfulness Certified Instructor – Mindful Schools among its credentials. Kids are encouraged to be expressive and loud, and to simply be kids, and the program states that it supports a range of academic subjects while building confidence and instilling the joy of learning, shares essential life skills to ease anxiety, strengthen focus, and live a healthier, happier life, and promotes and advocates for respect, creativity, and individuality while inspiring and nurturing each child to grow academically, socially, and linguistically.
