Flying Dutchman Gymnastics

Flying Dutchman Gymnastics offers gymnastics, birthday parties, private rental, holiday camps, and summer camps. The program uses one monthly fee and includes a parent portal account for viewing and enrolling in open classes, camps, and birthday parties.

Flying Dutchman Gymnastics was founded in January of 2015. Dirk Ooijkaas is listed as the founder and head coach, and Carrie Kelman is listed as co-founder, owner, and head coach.

The staff credentials include Olympic Qualifying Gymnast, Master Clinician, a Master's Degree in Physical Education, USAGymnastics professional certification, and certification in safety and risk management, USA Gymnastics Fitness, Sport Science, Preschool fundamentals, and Acrobatic Gymnastics. The credentials and awards also include National Champion in gymnastics by age 15, qualification for the 1975 European Championships in Bern, advancement to the World Championships in 1978 in Strassbourg, and competition at the world championships in Forth Worth, TX.

The mission statement is to provide quality gymnastics and repurpose Northgate Mall to serve the community. The program is described as a locally owned small business dedicated to repurposing Northgate Mall to serve the Terra Linda and Marin community.
