About
Marin Symphony Youth Programs connects young musicians with the Marin Symphony organization and its leadership. The program is linked with Marin Symphony Connect, which includes family-friendly events and access to the Marin Symphony YouTube channel featuring performances, interviews, and programs.
• Schedule: Administrative office hours Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm or 9:30am to 5:00pm
The program operates under the mission statement “Enriching, Educating, and Transforming Lives Through Classical Music.” The leadership team includes Music Director Fawzi Haimor and Development Director Nuri Kye. Fawzi Haimor leads the orchestra into its 74th season. He completed violin training at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, studied conducting under David Effron and Arthur Fagen, and holds bachelor’s degrees in music and neurobiology, a master’s degree in conducting from the University of California-Davis, and a second master’s in instrumental conducting from Indiana University. Marin Symphony Connect extends the organization’s work into the community with family-friendly events, and families can also view Marin Symphony performances, interviews, and programs on the Marin Symphony YouTube channel.
