About
SJ Art Academy offers classes in drawing, painting, design, digital art, clay, and portfolio development. Classes are arranged by age group and run through the Art Creations Enrichment Program in the studio year round. The program uses small class sizes with a 7:1 student to teacher ratio in a safe environment.
• Schedule: The studio is closed for Thanksgiving from 11/27 (Thursday) to 11/29 (Saturday), closed for Christmas from 12/24 (Wednesday) to 12/25 (Thursday), closed for New Year’s from 12/31 (Wednesday) to 1/1 (Thursday), and open during winter break from 1pm–6pm.
SJ Art Academy has provided art lessons to students around the Bay Area for over 25 years. All instructors have at least 3 years of teaching experience and have graduated from top art programs such as OTIS, SVA, UCLA, and LCAD. The program’s mission is to invite students to explore their creative side in small classes with experienced, educated, and professional staff. The academy has taught after school art programs in local public schools and worked with local organizations on public art projects with hundreds of students and their families. In 2018, Silicon Valley Voice wrote, “Young people's creativity takes wing at the San Jose Art Academy.”
