Charlie's Porch Tutoring Center

Charlie’s Porch Tutoring Center offers kindergarten through eighth grade tutoring with all subject areas, homework help, foundational skills, organization and time management, supplementary skills, and new Spanish tutoring. It also offers individual sessions for K-4 and 5th-8th grade students, plus homeschool individual sessions. Homeschool group sessions are available for 3rd-8th grade on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30am-12:30pm for $35 per session, and for K-2nd grade on Fridays from 10:00am-12:00pm for $40 per session.

About the provider

The program’s goal is to create a learning environment full of kindness, acceptance, growth, and memories. Hannah Pennington is the owner, tutor, and limited behavioral support staff member, and Izzy Pennington is an owner and tutor. Hannah attended California State University, Channel Islands and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in history. Izzy attended the University of California, Santa Barbara and majored in environmental studies with a focus in environmental justice.

Limited behavioral support; primarily focus on providing support for Attention-deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Students may earn various prizes. Upon enrollment, individualized goals are established with students and parents/guardians.
