About

Parker Hammond Golf Junior Programs introduces juniors to a wide range of golf skills, including putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, and the fundamentals of the full swing. The program also covers how and what to practice, golf etiquette, the Rules of Golf, course management, and includes an on course playing lesson. Juniors take part in swing video analysis and SCJG Training, which includes life skills, core values, and tournaments for all ages.

• Schedule: Level 1 Camp offers 1.5 hours of instruction daily Monday–Friday, and Level 2 Camp offers 3 hours of instruction daily Monday–Friday.

The program is led by Parker Hammond, Nathan Robinson, Ryan Hodge, and Kelly Woblesky. The mission of PHGolf is to give juniors coaching, instruction and positive support to improve their games and grow as individuals, based on the belief that golf gives juniors of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to learn valuable life skills and build character, and that coaching should be positive, fun, interactive, and personalized. SCJG Training within the program focuses on life skills, core values, and tournaments for all ages, and lesson plans are used so each player and parent can review the skills and content covered in each session. Small group sizes, multiple age groups and skill levels, swing video analysis, on course playing lessons, the option to continue in year-round programs, and the option to have clubs provided if a child does not have their own are all part of the program structure.

If a child does not have clubs, the program will provide them, and if a child has clubs, families are asked to bring them so staff can make sure they are fitted properly. If families want to buy equipment, the program can recommend cost-effective vendors. Children are asked to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, proper clothes for the current weather, and clubs if they have them, while other golf equipment like golf shoes or gloves is described as useful but not necessary. Parents must sign their juniors in on the first day of camp, and families meet at the registration table by the practice green behind the clubhouse near the 18th green at the beginning of each camp.

Parent feedback includes comments such as “AWESOME CAMP FOR KIDS!!! Your program is fantastic! Your coaches are wonderful and both my boys had such great time!” from Kimberly Kieft, and “Thanks so much for your program! Poppy had such a great time at your summer camp! You guys provide a super fun learning environment and your assistant coaches do a great job!” from Nick Fogler.
