Santa Cruz Shakespeare Education Programs include book clubs that read Macbeth, assign parts, and hold discussions. The programs also offer Shakes on the Move touring productions, Student Matinees (SMATs), a Sonnet Competition, a Spring Break Camp with theatre games, character work, and scene study, and three summer camps: Courageous Creatives, Much Ado About Nothing, and Greek Classics.

• Schedule: Spring Break Camp runs for five days, Monday through Friday, April 6–10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; each summer camp runs for five days, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with optional extended care, with Summer Camp I (Courageous Creatives) held June 22–26 and a performance on June 27, Summer Camp II (Much Ado About Nothing) held July 6–10 with a performance on July 11, and Summer Camp III (Greek Classics) held July 13–17 with a performance on July 19.

Santa Cruz Shakespeare states that it is passionately dedicated to educating the community about Shakespeare and the art of theatre. The organization presents globally-recognized, award-winning professional theatre productions. Shakes on the Move touring productions travel throughout the Bay Area to schools, community centers, elder care facilities, and other sites. The Sonnet Competition is scheduled for April 22nd from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Charles Pasternak is the Santa Cruz Shakespeare Artistic Director.
