About

Quicksilver Santa Cruz Swim Lessons offers a progressive swim lesson program that includes Parent Aquatics, Beginner Swim Lessons, Intermediate Swim Lessons, Advanced Swim Lessons, Stroke Development, junior lifeguard prep classes, and Masters swimming. The program uses a step-by-step system that builds strong fundamentals from the first splash and describes its lesson program as the building block of a child's swimming success. Stroke Development is offered as a non-competitive bridge group for aspiring high school and water polo swimmers pre- and post-swim season, and Masters Swimming emphasizes staying active, having fun, and challenging participants to be at their best.

• Ages: 0–17 years old
• Schedule: Weekend swim lessons with class options on Saturdays and Sundays between 9:00am and 1:00pm

The program includes a progression-based structure from beginning swim lessons to national-level training, with a planned progression (A–Z plan) for swimmers based on individual goals and commitment level. It focuses on constructing stroke technique to eliminate drag and potential injuries and emphasizes correct stroke technique at goal pace. QSS swimmers typically attend one meet per month as identified by coaches, and the program uses targeted 20–1 group ratios for coaching.

QSS invests in high-quality, experienced professional coaches, and coaches study and stay current in the latest improvements in the sport by regularly attending clinics and educational classes. The stated mission is to elevate swimmers of all levels through high-quality training and education, fostering health, fitness, and performance within the local community while making a positive impact through partnerships with organizations dedicated to their community. QuickSilver Santa Cruz is part of a premier USA Swimming team ranked 31st in the country and is a nationally ranked Silver Medal USA Swimming team. The program is committed to growing swimming in underrepresented swimming communities and has programs in Watsonville and Santa Cruz, aiming to make a positive impact through partnerships with organizations dedicated to their community.
