Santa Cruz County Parks Recreation Day Camps offers activities that include games, arts and crafts, sports, cooking, local field trips, and swimming. Campers take part in running, calisthenics, and team-building games, and may join athletic options such as basketball, volleyball, disc golf, futsal, and baseball. Campers receive a camp t-shirt that is worn on all field trips.
• Ages: 6–12 years old
• Schedule: Recreation, Aquatics, and Reservations front desk, phone, and email are available Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, except holidays
• Price: Four days or more prior to the activity start date, participants may receive full credit to their account that is valid for one year, or a refund can be issued minus a $5.00 cancellation fee.

The mission of Santa Cruz County Parks is to provide quality summer and seasonal camps that engage and have a positive impact on youth in the community. Santa Cruz County Parks also states that it provides parks and services that hold communities together. The County Park’s pool guards program at the Simpkins Family Swim Center gives participants an understanding of the skills required to become aquatically proficient while emphasizing fun and physical fitness, and, under the supervision of experienced instructors, campers practice skills necessary to become a successful lifeguard. Nature camp participants awaken their inner ecologist and learn to become stewards of the land by uncovering local ecosystems and learning about Santa Cruz County's diverse plants and wildlife, and nature and science camps encourage children's inquisitive nature and teach them how to conduct their own research in the fields of chemistry, biology, physics, and botany. If a program is cancelled by Parks, a full refund is issued within 4 weeks.
