About
Studio Sprout offers kids art projects that include visual arts projects, elementary art lessons, and art and garden classes. The program provides video tutorials and printable lesson plans for art projects that integrate the Elements of Art, STEAM, SEL, diverse and contemporary artists, animal themes, seasonal themes, and process art. Projects combine guided instruction with open-ended creativity, with no cookie-cutter projects, and lessons include enough structure for kids and educators to be successful while leaving room for student choice and creative problem-solving.

Studio Sprout offers innovative art programs for kids in a sunny Seabright studio and garden in Santa Cruz, including classes, camps, workshops, and birthday parties. It also offers a visual arts curriculum through a kid-safe, ad-free video hub, with a K–5 Scope and Sequence to plan the year, and a membership that unlocks easy-to-use video tutorials and lesson plans that can be used at home, in studios, or in classrooms. Studio Sprout states that its programs are rooted in process, creativity, hands-on exploration, and meaningful art experiences, and that its projects integrate Earth stewardship along with contemporary and diverse artists.
Studio Sprout is led by Rebecca, who is described as a mama, teacher, artist, and community-builder. Rebecca has taught art to thousands of students over the course of 25 years and is an art educator with a background in youth empowerment. The Studio Sprout mission is to help caregivers give today’s children a strong art foundation, engage them with the topics they care about, and boost their confidence. Studio Sprout is described as growing into a community of kids, grown-ups, and creators who believe in the power of art.
One parent and teacher shared, “Studio Sprout has saved me so much time and energy. Instead of searching the internet for the ‘right’ project, they are right at my fingertips in the video library. I am able to choose the perfect art project to do with my students and be guided step-by-step by an art expert.” - Amanda, First Grade Teacher & Mom of 3 ages 4, 8, 10.
