Summer Camp at the SUP Shack includes paddle boarding, kayaking, learning to SUP, and paddling around the calm harbor waters. Campers take part in daily changing activities such as building and flying kites, creating tie-dye shirts, constructing sandcastles, bodyboarding and boogie boarding, games, T-shirt design, and soccer on the beach. The program also includes marine biology activities such as exploring basic marine plankton life and crustaceans, birds of the Monterey Bay, marine mammals like harbor seals and sea lions, kelp (including kayaking to a kelp bed), and fish and other swimming creatures in the Monterey Bay, along with environmental beach and harbor clean up and picking up trash to keep oceans clean.

Summer Camp at the SUP Shack is described as a harbor adventure with two hours of paddle boarding and kayaking each morning and multiple marine biology themed afternoon adventures. Camp sessions run Monday–Friday from June to August, with listed start dates of June 1, 8, 15 (no camp June 19), 22, 29 (no camp July 3), July 6, 13, 20, 27, and August 3. The camp has been running for 8 years as a place where kids return summer after summer, with a minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 kids per class, a 5:1 student-to-instructor ratio, and campers grouped by age so they are with friends at their same level.

Life vests are provided and must be worn, and campers must be able to swim and able to get easily back on their SUPs or kayaks. Wetsuits are available for $50 per week. Campers are asked to bring a swimsuit, sunscreen, towel, water, a snack, something warm to wear if the weather is cool, and money for lunch or extra snacks, which can be purchased at the Beach Market.

The SUP Shack was established in 2011, and the owner and founder is Trudie Ransom. The SUP Shack is described as the go-to paddle boarding location in the Santa Cruz Harbor since 2011.
