Santa Monica Community Recreation Classes and Camps offers indoor and outdoor recreation classes for all ages throughout the year. The program also offers youth camps during school breaks and holidays. Most classes and camps require an account through ActiveNet, the City’s online registration system, for registration.
• Schedule: Registration is announced four times a year for spring, summer, fall, and winter classes and camps. Spring 2026 registration opens Wednesday, January 28th at 6:00 a.m. for Santa Monica residents and Wednesday, February 4th for non-residents. Summer 2026 registration opens Wednesday, April 22nd at 6:00 a.m. for Santa Monica residents and Wednesday, April 29th for non-residents.
• Price: A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded.
The City of Santa Monica states that it is committed to providing youth with the highest quality services available and creating an environment for youth that is safe, nurturing, empowering, and promotes growth and success. The City states that ensuring children are safe from abuse and able to learn, grow, and thrive is its highest priority, and that it is dedicated to creating programs that protect children and to providing families and the community with information to keep kids safe everywhere. The City of Santa Monica provides financial assistance for its after school programs and youth recreation classes and camps.
