About
Santa Monica Baseball Academy offers youth baseball camps and programs that include Spring Break Camps, Summer Camps, Youth Baseball Camps, an Elite Camp, SMBA Hitting Camps, an after school program, and Sunday Skills Sessions. Players take part in fielding, hitting, pitching, throwing, catching, base running, speed and agility work, and use hitting machines and batting cages, with options for one on one instruction. SMBA also runs the SMBA Hit Factory Spring Break Hitting Camp, which focuses on advance Hitting Instruction, and offers advance Pitching Instruction in its programs.

Spring Break Camps run 9am–3pm for ages 6–14 during Week 1 (March 30–April 3) and Week 2 (April 6–10). The Elite Spring Break Camp for ages 10–14 runs 9am–12pm during Week 1 (March 30–April 3) and Week 2 (April 6–10). The SMBA Hit Factory Spring Break Hitting Camp for ages 10–14 runs as four-day hitting camps from March 30–April 2 (Week 1) and April 6–9 (Week 2), 9am–12pm. Sunday Skills Sessions take place on Sundays, with ages 8–10 from 9am–10:30am and ages 11–14 from 10:30am–12pm.
Instructions are given by professional baseball coaches, including Coach Max, and SMBA has top coaches for the SMBA CREST spring program. Each coach is vetted, background checked, and trained with SMBA through the city of Santa Monica. The program’s mission statement is, “We Put Elite in your Head Not on Your Chest!” and it states that it lays a foundation of elite sports performance training to enhance players’ athleticism, to make them more explosive, quicker, and more dynamic. SMBA joins the CREST program to bring the joys and fundamentals of baseball, and each coach is vetted, background checked, and trained through the city of Santa Monica.
SMBA’s four day hitting camps state that they focus on improving a player's hitting skills through specialized instruction, drills, and repetition. Elite camp players receive an SMBA lightweight string backpack with an SMBA team pin, sports bracelet, batting grip tape, and an SMBA tee-shirt. A discounted lunch is available for order through Subway with free delivery on camp days, Subway lunch is available for delivery daily or weekly, and Handel's ice cream is offered each Friday. Players are instructed to wear baseball attire daily, including hats and cleats, and to bring sunscreen, water for hydration, a snack, and lunch.
