Mark West Stables Summer Camp

Mark West Stables Summer Camp is a week-long day camp where campers take part in riding, horsemanship, formal activities, and fun activities. Both horses and ponies are available to suit individual riding needs, and campers are grouped by age and level. No previous riding experience is necessary.

• Ages: 6–12 years old
• Schedule: Week-long day camp, Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–3:00 pm
• Price: $750 per session

The camp is led by owner and trainer Virginie Richard and assistant trainer Megan Hernandez. Virginie has been training students and horses at Mark West Stables for more than two decades. Megan has been part of the Mark West team for more than two decades, began teaching lessons and worked up to an assistant trainer position, and uses her years of experience riding and teaching to help her students become accomplished and confident riders. As stated in the program’s mission, the teaching approach is based on the idea that riding means different things to different people and that it is important for a teacher not to lose sight of that.
