Justin Russo Golf Academy

Justin Russo Golf Academy offers junior golf programs, player development programs, and adult golf programs. Instruction covers putting, short game, and full swing through the JRGA PGA Sports Summer Academy and other programs. The academy describes its teaching philosophy with the acronym PIVOT, which stands for Play, Independence, Values, Optimize, and Targets, and uses a target-based teaching and self-coaching approach with a systematic learning process that incorporates the TPI Body-Swing Connection.

The Justin Russo Golf Academy was founded in 2014. Justin Russo is the owner, PGA Director of Instruction, Men’s Head Golf Coach at Monterey Peninsula College since 2001, and a Physical Education Golf Instructor at Monterey Peninsula College since 2001. He is also the founder and coach for the Monterey Bay Junior Golf League since 2014 and has served on the Board of Directors for the AT&T Pebble Beach Junior Golf Association since 2005. Justin Russo is a PGA professional and TPI certified instructor, and the academy notes that he is an award-winning PGA Director of Instruction. JRGA received the “Teacher of the Year” award in 2020 for the Monterey Bay Chapter. The academy states that it is dedicated to helping golfers of every skill level succeed and is geared toward improving putting, short game, and full swing.
