About

Seaside PONY Baseball & Softball offers organized baseball and softball for children in structured divisions. The program includes multiple baseball and softball leagues that group players by age and skill level.

• Ages: 5–14 years old

Seaside PONY Baseball & Softball is led by an Executive Board. The program is a non-profit organization that offers local children baseball and softball fundamentals while focusing on sportsmanship, teamwork, and confidence. Its stated mission is to “protect our nation’s youth” by implanting ideals of good sportsmanship, courage, obedience, loyalty, truth, and reverence, so that participants may be finer, stronger and happier young people and grow to be good clean healthy adults. It is part of the PONY Northern California Coast Region.

The program offers age-appropriate divisions in baseball: Shetland 6U League for ages 5–6, Pinto 8U League for ages 5–8, Mustang 10U League for ages 7–10, Bronco 12U League for ages 9–12, and Pony 14U League for ages 13–14. It also offers age-appropriate divisions in softball: Pre Rookie 8U League for ages 5–8, Rookie 10U League for ages 7–10, Minors 12U League for ages 9–12, and Majors 14U League for ages 13–14. Each division is structured so that kids play against peers of similar age and ability. Coaches in the program emphasize both skill-building and enjoyment, and activities focus on baseball and softball fundamentals in a community-centered setting where character is a stated priority.

The organization describes community involvement as an important part of the league, with games, events, and volunteer efforts described as strengthening the Seaside family. It invites participation from parents, coaches, and sponsors through volunteering, coaching teams, or becoming sponsors to support the league.
