Ballet Arte Academy of Classical Ballet offers training in ballet, pointe, modern dance, and Pilates. The program includes options for toddlers, young boys and girls, teens, and adults. The directors are known for providing training from beginner through pre-professional levels in a setting where students can develop and realize their technical and artistic abilities.
• Ages: Toddlers–18 years old
The program is led by Directors Sara Viale and Erlends Zieminch, who are former professionals and Soloists with New York City Ballet, Zurich Ballet, Aterballetto, and Ballet Internationale. Sara Viale graduated from the Academie de la Danse Princess Grace in Monaco, danced with Compagnia di Danza Nuovo Torino, Aterballetto, Zurich Ballet in solo and principal roles, and Ballet Internationale as a principal dancer, and she has taught master classes and served as a ballet instructor at the Professional Division of the Clara Noyes Academy under Vladilen Semenov and Irina Kolpakova. Erlends Zieminch received Vaganova training at the Riga Choreographic Institute, danced with the Latvian National Opera and Ballet Theatre as a principal, performed with Indianapolis Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet, continued his studies at the School of American Ballet, taught at the Ballet Internationale Academy, and is a Professional Kinesiology Practitioner who has adapted a system in his teaching to enable students to realize their hidden abilities. Instructor Julie Kenyon passed her RAD ballet examinations with honors, studied at the Sadlers Wells Ballet School (now Royal Ballet), trained at the Italia Conti Stage School in London in dance, musical theatre, acting, and singing, and has been teaching ballet for twenty-two years. Ballet Arte has been recognized with the “Outstanding School and Teachers Award” by the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), and Director Sara Viale was named “The artist to watch” by the Indianapolis Monthly Magazines.
