The Theatre School @NorthCoastRep is part of a professional theatre that includes an award-winning children’s Theatre School. The program operates within a theatre that presents a diverse 7-show Mainstage season with performances year-round and offers a collaborative Variety Night series and new play commissions. It serves thousands of young people each year through its education and outreach programs.
• Schedule: Box office open 7 days a week from 12pm–4pm; on performance days, hours are 12pm to curtain.
North Coast Repertory Theatre has been part of North County San Diego’s theatre and arts community for over four decades. Its mission is to create a platform where artists and audiences thrive through the intimacy of live theatre, recognizing the power of theatre to challenge complacency, revitalize the imagination, nurture the unexpected, and embrace the variety and diversity in people’s lives. The organization is led by Artistic Director David Ellenstein and Managing Director Bill Kerlin and was founded by Olive and Tom Blakistone. It is a nonprofit 501(c)3 that has received the highest ratings for transparency from Guidestar and CharityNav and is nationally recognized, with coverage in The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and American Theatre Magazine. It has received numerous Critic’s Pick designations and awards of excellence from The San Diego Union-Tribune, KPBS, and several Southern California media sources. The theatre reports that over 50,000 theatergoers of all ages visit each year and that it brings joy, entertainment, and belonging to the community through artistic excellence, education, and the stories on its stage.
