About
LSF Swim Lessons offers swim classes for all levels of swimmers, including small group lessons that teach the fundamentals of swimming. The program includes stroke development, stroke improvement, stroke refinement, an adult tot class, a spring stroke clinic, and a fall stroke clinic. Multiple classes are offered at the same time, so siblings can swim simultaneously in separate classes.
• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Classes meet Monday through Friday for two weeks, with 1/2-hour classes offered every half hour until 5 pm; morning and afternoon spaces are available, with one-week blocks available in the last session and the last session starting Monday July 27th.
Group classes are limited to a maximum of 4 children per class, and children are grouped by age and ability, with a color scheme in place to designate the instructor rather than the level. Typically, children 3 and over have the most success in group lessons, while the adult tot class is for children under the age of 3 and includes a parent in the water. The pool is kept at 89–90 degrees daily, and the program runs seasonally from April to September, with up to 4 simultaneous classes offered at the busiest times, mainly in the late afternoon. Instructors are American Red Cross Authorized Instructors and are experienced teachers with an average of 10 years of experience. The program has a strict no make-up lesson policy. Payments can be made payable to Joanne McDonald and mailed to Lomas Santa Fe Swim Lessons, Attn: Joanne McDonald, along with a signed copy of the 2026 Waiver with Covid Release and an email address so enrollment can be confirmed and links to updated COVID guidelines can be provided. For information about Lomas Santa Fe membership, families can contact Ryan at 858-755-6768.
