Young Stars Theatre Academy Camp

Young Stars Theatre Academy offers exciting theatre workshops during the school year and fun-filled camps every spring, summer, and winter. The program also includes a weekly improv class, private singing, acting, and audition coaching, as well as member activities such as outings, improv competitions, an annual Holiday Party, Murder Mystery nights, and movie nights. Participants perform live in front of audiences during scheduled performance dates connected to each camp session.

• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Multiple camp sessions with separate camp and performance dates throughout June, July, and early August
• Price: Membership dues of $75 each month; members receive free weekly improv class (stated as a $200 a month value), reduced rates on private coaching (stated as a $45–$180 a month value), one free ticket for themselves plus two half-price guest tickets per show run they are not in (up to $50 value), and reduced rates on show and camp tuition ($150 per show)

Young Stars Theatre Academy states its mission as “Igniting Passion, Building Confidence, & Cultivating Performance.” Company Membership is granted by invitation only after completing a show with Young Stars Theatre Academy. Members get first notification of upcoming auditions with a guaranteed registration spot within the first 24 hours of notice and can attend basic member activities such as outings, improv competitions, and the annual Holiday Party described as “The best party EVER!” Members receive Elite stamps for helping out and work hours, which can be exchanged for treats and events such as Murder Mystery nights, movie nights, or being taken to a show. Members also have the opportunity to be an elected officer or a committee chairman and can apply to learn different positions involved in mounting and running a production, including casting, directing, props, costumes, and set building and painting.
