Club SciKidz Los Angeles STEM Programs offers hands-on activities in areas such as emergency medicine, veterinary medicine, robotics, space exploration, forensics, movie making, video game creation, food science, paleontology, engineering, chemistry, biology, astronomy, oceanography, special effects, AI, chatbots, drones, and 3D printing. The program includes STEM summer camps, after-school STEM programs, science assemblies, in-school field trips, science birthday parties, scouting badge workshops, home school sessions, after-school science clubs, teacher workshops, and 60 minute science workshops in pre-schools. Club SciKidz was established in 1997, and its original business operated under the name Summer Science Day Camps, Inc., with the first summer camp called “Special Effects,” which taught campers the science involved in Hollywood’s special effects techniques. Camp Young Scientist was created in 2001 to accommodate children ages 6–8. In 2015, Tech Scientific was added to the name to reflect a new emphasis on technology camps, and Club SciKidz/Tech Scientific now offers 90 different themed science camps and 30 weeks of inquiry-based after-school science club experiences, with lessons carefully researched by science educators with the help of teachers and children. The Los Angeles summer camps are described as “Fun, Safe & Scientific” and as “The Top Choice for Greater LA STEM Summer Camps, After School Programs, In School Field Trips & Birthday Parties,” and the Los Angeles page states that it offers over at least 60 different themed summer camps and unforgettable science/STEM birthday parties in Greater Los Angeles.

Programs are designed to meet the needs of children ages 4–15 and cover a wide range of disciplines including veterinary medicine, robotics, space exploration, forensics, movie making, video game creation, food science, paleontology, engineering, chemistry, biology, astronomy, oceanography, emergency medicine, and special effects. Club SciKidz Los Angeles states it is proudly serving all of Los Angeles County and Ventura County. The mission statement says Club SciKidz was founded on the principle that parents want to provide their children with exciting, challenging, and life-impacting academic enrichment experiences.

Owners Bob and Sue Hagan lead Club SciKidz Los Angeles, and they have a combined 30 plus years of teaching experience and both hold a Master’s Degree in Education.
