About
Sunnyvale Little League offers baseball activities that include the 2026 Spring Little League Season, Opening Day ceremonies at Serra Park, and regular-season play using USA Baseball approved bats. Players in the league may also take part in Intermediate Division All Stars games, Juniors All Stars games, the 2025 Future Stars Tournament, the 2025 Tournament of Champions, the 2025 District 44 All Star Tournaments, and the California District 44 Tournament of Champions. Families can also participate in league events such as the SVLL Dinner Out Fundraiser at Mountain Mikes and sponsorship of Sunnyvale Little League.
• Schedule: Online registration for the 2026 Spring Little League Season is currently in wait list status.
Sunnyvale Little League states that it has always strived to offer a fun and inclusive environment for players, parents, volunteers, and guests. The league is a 100% volunteer run organization and has a Code of Conduct. Sunnyvale Intermediates took the California Section 5 title, the Juniors All Stars capped a District 44 Championship, and the Juniors Padres captured the California District 44 Tournament of Champions crown, and a Sunnyvale Little League alum, Logan Thompson, made a collegiate baseball debut. Sponsors receive a banner on the majors field and logo placement on the Sunnyvale Little League website, and sponsorship is described as helping Serra keep costs and entry fees down.
To help prevent heat-related illness, Sunnyvale Little League is adopting a Heat Index based approach to suspending league activity during periods of excessive heat. All players must use USA Baseball approved bats because Little League Baseball adopted new bat standards as of January 1, 2018, and bats manufactured the previous year are ineligible for use in any Little League activity. The league provides a baseball equipment guide for parents and detailed field prep guidelines, including watering and dragging infield dirt, maintaining the mound, and specific instructions for avoiding damage to grass areas. Team managers are encouraged to check the City of Sunnyvale field status hotline on any day their team holds organized activity, must clear players from the field if there is visible lightning or audible thunder, and during games umpires have discretion to halt play if they deem conditions unsafe. Rain-out status can be checked via the Sunnyvale field hotline at (408)730-7585, field maintenance or safety issues can be reported to the city facilities line at 408-730-7506 during weekday daytime hours, and field emergencies can be reported to the city hotline at 408-730-7180.
