The Junior Production Program includes junior productions along with participatory performance opportunities and backstage support opportunities. The program is part of a broader set of activities that involve cast, crew, staff, and orchestra members in staged shows.
• Ages: 8–18 years old
Sunnyvale Community Players, which runs the Junior Production Program, was established in 1969 as a 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality theater for the Sunnyvale community. SCP produces four or five shows each year, using the talents of over 300 cast, crew, staff, and orchestra members, and entertaining an expected audience of more than 8,000 each year. SCP produces 1–2 junior productions for ages 8–18 as part of every season and is very proud of its junior production program. SCP is run entirely by volunteers, with donation contributions and ticket sales accounting for more than 95% of its income, and well over 95% of its expenses directly related to producing shows. The leadership team includes Thomas Times (Executive Artistic Director), Tim Garcia (Marketing Director), Chris Carter (Production Manager), Eshaan Ravi (Box Office Manager), Genevieve Schmidt (Social Media Manager), Cheyenne Bacon (Costume Shop Manager), and board officers and members Emma Blickenstaff (President), Anthony Eiras (Vice President), Jessica Ganz (Treasurer), Matthew Regan (Secretary), David Ganz (Board Member), Naeem Salameh (Board Member), and Katie Lannin (Board Member).
