• Ages: 0–5 years old
Leap & Bound Academy includes infant centers for children from newborn to 24 months in a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for babies. The program provides full potty training. Homemade, hot lunches are served every day by an in-house chef, with fruits and vegetables picked ripe from the facility’s own garden whenever they are in season, and sometimes food is prepared right in the classroom. The program states a dedication to maintaining healthy diets and an emphasis on play for emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development, and notes that playtime develops social skills and communication skills among peers and family.
All educators at Leap & Bound Academy are qualified preschool teachers with at least 12 units of Early Childhood Education training. The leadership team includes Ms. DeJahnae as director at the Torrance-Walteria location, Ms. Mary as infant director at the Redondo Beach location, Ms. Erin as director at the Redondo Beach location, and Chef José as the in-house chef. The program holds licenses Lic 197413526 and Lic 197495286. The stated mission is that learning and fun come together as one, that every child is a unique individual with different styles of learning, and that teachers and staff are there to make each child’s learning experience the best one possible.
