About
NIHAO Summer Camp includes Mandarin immersion, interactive language learning, project-based learning, and a project-based curriculum. Campers take part in hands-on culinary challenges, tasty kitchen adventures, creative projects, hands-on play, collaborative activities, and a field trip. The program also features evening adventures and themed experiences such as Burger Chef’s Adventures, along with activities that explore culinary concepts and business concepts.
• Ages: 2–12 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm sessions offered in multiple two-week blocks, with extended care available until 6pm
The camp follows themed weekly focuses, including Ingredient Foundations and Advanced Memory Challenge, The Science of Hygiene and Senses & Self-Care, Monopoly & Manners and Needs vs. Wants, and Global Flavor Lab and Junior CEO Showcase. NIHAO Summer Camp is part of a custom-designed learning system aligned with U.S. education standards and the De5ign framework, including well-being and social-emotional foundations (U.S. SEL), inquiry and thinking skills (Inquiry-Based Learning), and real-world application and contribution (Project-Based Learning). The program’s stated mission is: “GROW WELL THROUGH CULTURE 在文化中,好好成长 Live well. Learn Well. Be Well. Where Chinese learning becomes a gentle journey of balance, joy, & holistic development.”
