Clever Minds offers academic tutoring and instruction for kindergarten through 12th grade. Students receive one-on-one tutoring in Math, Language Arts, Reading and Writing, home-school instruction, winter athlete academic support, and college application and essay assistance. Summer Programs 2026 include week-long Grade Readiness Boot Camps in the mornings and individual tutoring in the afternoons, with fun activities included in summer learning.

About the provider
Clever Minds Learning Center opened in June 2004. Vicki Isacowitz is the owner of Clever Minds. The center employs experienced and credentialed classroom teachers, and many staff members have master’s and doctorate degrees. The program states that it believes students learn when given individual academic tools, a positive and safe learning environment, and reinforcement to elevate self-confidence. Clever Minds has assisted over 10,000 students in Truckee, North Tahoe, Incline Village, and the Bay area, and the about page also states service to the East Coast and Reno.
Students in grades kindergarten through 12th attend the center for a variety of reasons. Sign-ups for summer 2026 are on a first come, first serve basis. The Winter Athlete Program uses an Independent Study program from the student's traditional school and communicates with the primary classroom teacher via email, fax, and phone.
