About

Truckee Gymnastics Summer Camps include skill focused events, obstacle courses, crafts, water balloon play, open gym, a coach T.P. fashion show, and team-building games. Campers work on body positions and awareness, falling safely, flexibility, balance, coordination, strength, tumbling, vault, bars, beam, Tumbl Trak, and trampoline. Each day highlights a word or characteristic: Trust, Courage, Respect, Perseverance, or Integrity.

• Ages: 6–12 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm, with a special performance on Friday at 2pm

Truckee Gymnastics states that camp is co-ed for ages 6–12, welcomes all ability levels, and splits children into groups of about 5–8 kids based on age and ability level. Coaches work together to create specific skill progressions based on the foundation of gymnastics, and the curriculum follows USA Gymnastics Levels 1–3 and safety guidelines. The week ends with a final demonstration for family and friends, and payment is due in full upon registration with no refunds offered because supplies are ordered and staffing is confirmed based on enrollment.

Truckee Gymnastics reports over 19 years in Tahoe Truckee and describes itself as the premier gymnastics facility in the Truckee-Tahoe region. Its mission statement says that Truckee Gymnastics provides a FUN gymnastics program for all students, whether they attend once a week or prefer twice or more per week for faster progression. The curriculum follows the USA Gymnastics Levels and Safety Guidelines, and Truckee Gymnastics is involved with Tahoe Forest Hospital Children’s Center for ages 2–4 years.

Parent feedback includes comments such as, “You guys are the best! We really love this gym!” from Valerie Lemmon, and “Just to let you know my son is loving gymnastics!! Thank you so much for your program.” from Jamie Sadeg. Another parent, Cindy Flores & Kristina Sheehy, shared, “Thank you for an amazing birthday party! It couldn’t have been better. The girls had a blast and everyone wants to do gymnastics now. We’ve Read More…”

For attire, leotards are preferred for girls and shorts and a T-shirt for boys, with hair pulled back and away from the face, and no jewelry or socks allowed. Families are asked to pack a snack, a hearty lunch, and a water bottle, and on Thursday, when water balloon activities are planned outside, campers need a bathing suit or change of clothes, sunscreen, and a towel.
