Camps & Intensives at Ballet Academy Ventura include the Little Ballerina Dance Camp, the Junior “Junior” Intensive, and the Junior Intensive. Depending on level, students take part in ballet technique, character dances from Russia, Italy and Eastern Europe, Musical Theater, dance history, and new choreography, and each session ends with an in-studio demonstration for friends and family.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Little Ballerina Dance Camp runs 5 days, Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM; Junior “Junior” Intensive and Junior Intensive each offer two separate 6-day weeks in July 2026, with Monday–Friday sessions from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Saturday sessions from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM
Ballet Academy Ventura camps and intensives are offered at Ballet Academy Ventura and use the Vaganova teaching method as part of a complete dance program from early Creative Movement and Pre-ballet through Pre-Professional, with new enrollment open year round and a free trial class available for placement. The school has served Ventura County for over 30 years and is the official school of the Ventura County Ballet, whose productions include an annual performance of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and other spring concerts involving youth and adults. The mission of Ballet Academy Ventura states that it focuses on educating the whole child, building self-confidence and love of ballet as an art form, and using discipline to support a child’s own self-discipline through gentle and constructive correction.
The leadership team includes Director and founder Kathleen Noblin, Curriculum Director Marina Fliagina, Conservatory Instructors Nilas Martins and Sergei Domrachev, and Instructors Hanna Chudinova and Elizaveta (Leeza) Domracheva. Faculty credentials include professional training and performance backgrounds in institutions and companies such as the Perm State College of Choreography, Moscow State Theatre Kremlin Ballet, Perm State Opera House/Tchaikovsky Ballet, Russian Imperial Ballet, Moscow Classical Ballet, Moscow Festival Ballet, State Street Ballet, State Street Ballet Academy, Perm State International Ballet Academy, Royal Winnipeg Ballet Academy, and Kyiv Choreographic College, as well as university-level dance degrees and teaching roles at organizations including Harvard University, Indiana University, Joffrey Ballet School, Miami City Ballet School, National Ballet of China, New York City Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, School of American Ballet, and Washington Ballet. Recognitions include the 2008 Mayor’s Arts Award to Kathleen Noblin for service as an Arts Educator, a 2006 Certificate of Recognition from the City of San Buenaventura for cultural programs provided to families, bronze medals and an Audience Favorite Award for Sergei Domrachev at the Vaganova and International Arabesque Competitions in 1992, and Second Place plus a Special Jury Prize for Elizaveta (Leeza) Domracheva at the 2019 International Ballet and Contemporary Dance Competition “Domenico Modugno” in Italy.
