Happy Times Child Development Center, 755 Civic Center Dr, Vista, CA 92084
About
Happy Times Child Development Center includes daily activities such as music, art, dance, baby signing, gardening, STEAM experiments, and puzzles. Children also take part in active play like climbing, running, jumping, and planting seeds in the garden as part of their day.
• Ages: 0–12 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday, 6:30am–6:00pm
Happy Times Child Development Center follows an educational, play-based curriculum in an inclusive, bilingual environment where children learn English and Spanish. Music, art, and dance are part of each child’s day, and infants use baby signing. Children explore nature through gardening and build STEAM skills with experiments and puzzles. The program offers huge playgrounds separated by age group, with age-separated outdoor spaces, secure fences around the yard, and shade from mature trees. Classrooms follow a “less is more” philosophy, with neutral tones, natural textures, bright natural light from large windows, indoor plants, open layouts, family photos, child-created decor, child-sized furnishings, dedicated learning centers, and an age-appropriate library. The center provides healthy home-cooked food at no extra cost, with in-house cooks preparing fresh, nutritious, home-cooked meals every day.
Teachers and staff members are CPR-certified. The center uses keypad locks on doors, daily sanitizing of spaces by staff, weekly professional deep cleaning, and disinfecting foggers to clean surfaces, corners, books, and games. Happy Times Child Development Center states the mission, “Let Kids Be Kids Where Little Ones Grow, Play, Learn, & Thrive.” The program participates in the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) and is identified as © 2026 Happy Times Child Development Center. The center has an open-door policy for families and is a proud participant in the CACFP, which includes a stated nondiscrimination policy in line with federal civil rights law and USDA civil rights regulations and policies.
