Lake Washington Sailing Club Junior Summer Camps

Lake Washington Sailing Club Junior Summer Camps take place at a member-run, volunteer sailing club that focuses on small boat sailing and windsurfing. The camps operate in an environment where Lake Washington’s winds are described as the most consistent of the Sacramento sailing venues, with Delta Breeze thermal winds of about 8–15 mph most days from May to September and occasional stronger winds. The setting includes warm water with no currents and access to regattas organized by the club for windsurfers and experienced sailors, and visitors on non-windy days can picnic, use the clubhouse, and watch local wildlife.

Lake Washington Sailing Club is an independent club licensed by the Port of West Sacramento. The club is a member-run, volunteer organization of individuals and boat owners interested in small boat sailing and windsurfing. The club collaborates with rowers and outboard fishing enthusiasts. The leadership team includes Commodore Brandon Lee, Port Captain Matt Minasi, Treasurer Don Adams, Secretary Cynthia Silva, Sailing Officer George Biery, Communications Officer Ken Jones, Volunteer Coordinator Debi Glovin, and Data Protection Officer Ken Jones.
