Uptown School of Dance offers a wide range of classes that focus on specific dance styles, strength training, and various performance skills. The program welcomes dancers of all ages and abilities and is run as a family business.
At Uptown School of Dance, the leadership team includes Emmarie, Julie, Jack, and Alanna. Twenty eight years ago, Emmarie and Julie met in a toddler ballet and tap combo class at a local dance studio in Whittier. The stated goal of Uptown School of Dance is to create an atmosphere that empowers dancers with confidence, passion, and a love for learning, values a supportive and loving community as a family business, considers all dancers to be part of its family, and strives to create an environment that allows each individual dancer to feel safe to learn and grow in their skills and understanding of dance technique.
