About

Athletes In Action NorCal Youth Sport Camps offers weekly youth sports camps that focus on specific sport development in a week-long, extended-hours format. Campers take part in basketball, baseball, soccer, football, volleyball, dance, and track and field, along with dynamic age-appropriate warm-ups. Activities include sport-specific training and development through drills and scrimmages, hands-on athletic skill and ability training, fun head-to-head competition with peers, and instructional scrimmage games. Campers self-select their sport during camp and are allowed to change their sport during the week if desired, and players are grouped by age, ability, prior experience, and sport preference.

• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Camps run on a weekly basis with around 20 hours of professional instruction and development; one Yolo County camp runs 6/29–7/3 for grades K–8 from 8:00am–12:00pm
• Price: Cost $175/participant; multi-child family discount and needs-based scholarships are available.

Athletes In Action NorCal Youth Sport Camps focuses on improving overall sport and athletic skill through hands-on speed, quickness, agility, and fitness drills. Youth Sports Camps are specifically designed for children in grades K–8, and each player receives a camp T-shirt. Sport offerings vary by camp, and the organization is offering youth sport camps again for the summer of 2026. Since 1966, Athletes in Action has been using sports as a platform to help people answer questions of faith and to point them to Jesus. The stated vision is to see a day when there are Christ-followers on every team, in every sport, in every nation, and the mission is to build spiritual movements everywhere through the platform of sport so that everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus. The camps include great character and faith development content and discussion, and every child has the opportunity to hear Biblical principles applied to life through sport in a way that is described as relevant and purposeful. The program involves intentional mentoring and discipleship, small groups, campus and community outreach and partnerships, as well as partnerships and missions overseas. Campers have the opportunity to meet and learn from current and former college athletes and Athletes in Action staff, and the aim is for each child to receive hands-on care and development beyond the athletic arena. The program states that it ultimately wants every participant to develop a mindset of seeking “Victory Beyond Competition.”
