Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington serves kids and teens through a strategy created by its National Headquarters that focuses on academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. Youth attend the Clubs for activities, to see their friends, and to spend time with positive and encouraging adults. The organization operates 26 sites that serve as safe havens and are open when schools are not, offering an alternative to being home alone or on the street.
