Nationals Youth Baseball Academy offers baseball and softball activities for youth. The program uses baseball and softball as vehicles to foster positive character development, academic achievement, and improved health among youth living in underserved communities.
For community residents, Nationals Youth Baseball Academy operates the only year-round farmers market in Ward 7 in partnership with 4P Foods, featuring shares of fresh produce at a greatly subsidized rate. The facility includes a “Healthy Corner” store. For over a decade, DC Central Kitchen has partnered with Nationals Youth Baseball Academy to deliver healthy food and nutrition education. Washington Nationals Philanthropies has hosted a week of programming at the Youth Baseball Academy to celebrate Jackie Robinson’s legacy.
