About
Player Progression Academy (PPA) Youth Sports Programs offers soccer, basketball, winter futsal, lacrosse, multi-sport skill-building, and KiddoBall, along with 1-on-1 sessions, small group training, private training, and clinics. The program also runs summer camps, holiday camps, winter holiday camps, winter basketball, winter futsal, winter KiddoBall, evening camps, and birthday parties, as well as full-day Washington Spirit Camp and NCAA-Themed Camp. PPA also offers specialized options such as the Washington Spirit Camp, evening camps for more advanced athletes focusing on technical development and competitive play, and KiddoBall, which is a custom-designed soccer game for little ones, like tee-ball but for soccer, offered free at select parks throughout the year.

• Schedule: Phone line available 10am–2pm Monday–Friday; Winter Holiday Camps run 9am–3pm on Dec 22, 23, 29, 30, and Jan 20
PPA Camps are led entirely by professional coaching staff, and PPA Classes are conducted by professional coaching staff. Tots classes are led by experienced Tots coaching staff who specialize in making sports fun, safe, and developmentally appropriate for young kids. The PPA Tots Program introduces children ages 3–5 to sports in an age-appropriate way, with classes for tots available in soccer, basketball, lacrosse, or multi-sport. PPA Classes offer flexible formats, including 1-on-1, small group training with friends, larger classes with multiple professional coaches, and private classes where parents can form their own group and PPA provides a dedicated coach and schedule.
Development Teams are school-based and parent-formed teams open to players of all levels. Over 5,000 players ages 3–18 participate in PPA each year, and PPA has served over 10,000 players in the last 10 years. Program locations include families from more than 5,000 PPA families and 200+ schools in and around DC and Montgomery County, MD, and PPA has a unique ecosystem of local professional coaches, directors, parent volunteers, and school partners. PPA provides scholarships for all programs and promotes a philosophy and platform to support kids playing multiple sports.
PPA’s mission, expressed through PPALife, is to develop players between the lines and outside them, and to cultivate Healthy Habits, Community, and Success. PPALife is described as the club’s culture, mantra, and mission, and it speaks to who PPA is, how coaches coach, and what they teach. PPA is partnered with leading national sports brands and DC’s local professional sports teams, has inked a partnership with the Washington Spirit to position itself as a leader in girls soccer, and PPA Premier Soccer has joined the GA Aspire League for elite competition and college pathways. PPA has won 7 Maryland State championships in the last 5 years and is highly reviewed by parents across its programming. PPA also has a sister company, Open Door Sports, which provides free high quality sports programs for thousands of kids with special needs, and offers a PPA App for the best mobile experience.
